To the young girl with the empty notepad
Exploring the unknown
Trying to find the words to express her hurt
Her sadness
Yet, forgiveness
The darkness that forced her to leave
A place that is now so foreign
A place which awakens her with memories of drifting away slowly, forever
She never takes enough
An emptiness that you can hear from the outside of her body
Hallow and silent
Her destination surely determines her fate
Beautiful uncertainty!

I came out here to see what this lady with the gorgeous name is all about. I see you are also beautiful inside, and eloquently express yourself and your pain. Thank you for visiting my little Pictured Words site. I look forward to following yours, and sharing some of your words with a daughter who struggles in much the same ways.

Thank you so much, you’re too kind! Please do, I hope she’s taking that energy that tends to weigh us down and do something positive with it. I look forward to your work as well. Have a great day, Maria. 😊

She is trying. She eats healthy, does yoga, is in the scriptures and praying … she is doing FAR better than she used to. I’m so thankful. God bless you, and you have a great day also!

Last time I had heard the name Angelique was decades back – when I had read a series of books on Angelique 😊

Where are you?! We keep coming, once in a while to see if there is something new… Is there somewhere else we should check?
I am working on an anthology for heritage to commemorate our Black History Month at the University of Sussex. Do you think you can send me a poem or two? Greetings!

Hi! Sorry, I’ve just been so busy and honestly the writing hasn’t been so good. I’ll be back soon. Send me an email and we can talk about it.

We can’t wait to have you back! … Life and its busyness, right? 🙂 Hang in there, sis. And we shall patiently await. Meanwhile, if you have any poem on heritage…do shoot it our way.
