Happy Mind, Happy Life

Today it took you until 3pm to get up and actually get your day started or to get out of bed. Congratulations, at least you made it that far. We need to give ourselves credit for the tasks we find difficult to complete. I also encourage you to write down those accomplishments and how it made you feel after defeating them. I haven’t written or completed anything in two months and it was beating me up inside. Every day I’ve been telling myself I won’t be successful with the rate that I’m going, but ultimately I’m setting myself up for failure because of the toxic thoughts. I know writing takes time and I really don’t want to put out bad content. So instead of beating myself any more than I already have, I will reward myself after completing this. Anything I put out that I expect people to grow and learn from I automatically appreciate it. I believe the tool is to love what you do, put in the effort and the rest will come. You may not be perfect, but acknowledging your bad habit is a great start to a happy beginning. Give yourself credit where it is due and take your time.

How's it going? Welcome to my first ever blog. My name is Angelique, no I do not speak French fluently, but I wish I could. I am from Chicago, Illinois and I love to write about pretty much everything. I created this blog because I am extremely bad at writing in my journals, so I thought it’d be a great idea to create a blog and give myself the opportunity to challenge myself by exposing who I am to complete strangers. I also created this blog to connect with other writers and introverts like myself. I love the idea of creating a space for people who struggle with expressing themselves, but find themselves in other peoples writing. With that being said, thanks for vising my blog and don't hesitate to reach out.

  1. Very awesome! And apply that ass to the chair and your hands to a keyboard and get to writing! πŸ˜œπŸ‘ŠπŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ

  2. An important note for writers. Some of things I’ve noticed over the years to keep in mind is that the things that stop most writers from writing is their lack of writing. Writers need to remember not to give up! Also, if one is a writer of novels they could attempt to write just one page a day and you would end up with about a novel done a year. And also, it will take a lot of bad writing to get toward better writing. When musicians make albums many make more songs than those that go on the album, so don’t be afraid to try out new things. Not every thing one writes has to be a masterpiece. I love your idea of congratulating on the good things done, especially since every day will not be the same. At least try your best for the day, whatever that may be. I think I needed to read this today, as I’ve been slacking on another novel, and not turning out words for about a week. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

  3. I agree. I have always dealt with all kinds of negative self-talk, and I have also fought it off with replying with positive talk. Plus I have supporting people around me and no longer people who would mistreat me.

  4. Great writing! I agree, when discouraging and negative thoughts enter your mind you have to encourage yourself by replacing them with positive and uplifting thoughts. You have to reprogram your mind. Take a deep breath and go forward. If it’s successful, congratulate yourself. If it’s not so good, remember that you got up the courage to try and smile. Maybe give it another try. Just continue to encourage yourself, no matter how big or small the task, and you will get there. 😊
